Along with the resurrection of The Cinema Suicide Film Society, I started up another side project with my brother just recently that I wanted to bring to your attention: The Brothers Grim Podcast. And yes, I realize that I’ve been neglecting this place despite all the new subscribers who, I assure you, I appreciate like you wouldn’t believe.
If you like horror movies, you’re going to love this one. The two of us grew up watching nothing but garbage and continue to celebrate trash to this day. Our mom continues to be completely baffled by our enthusiasm for trashy movies. Each episode, released bi-weekly is a look at a movie that’s either a beloved favorite or brand new to one or both of us. The latest is a look at William Lustig’s sleazy 1980 slasher, Maniac, starring Joe Spinell and Caroline Munro. I also go on a tangent and tell a story about the time I met Tom Savini at a toy show and it ended up haunting him for literally years. We’ve also done episodes on the bonkers Spanish slasher flick, Pieces, the utterly unhinged Susan Tyrell picture, Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker, and the Amityville Horror sequel that’s way too casual about incest, Amityville 2: The Possession.
Subscribe to the show wherever you get podcasts and it’d be badass if you could take a second and leave a 5-star review for us on Apple Podcasts.
